Youth leaders from across Nigeria gather as PFN Youth Wing launches a new leadership era and strategic plan for Christian engagement and national transformation.
The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has inaugurated a new national leadership for its Youth Wing, signaling a strong shift toward coordinated youth mobilization, Doctrinal clarity, and grassroots revival efforts across the country.
Held in Lagos on June 10th and streamed live to a national and international audience, the inauguration ceremony carried the theme “Unity, Purpose, Power.” It was anchored in worship, biblical teaching, and a renewed vision to equip the next generation of Pentecostal leaders to address both spiritual and societal needs.
The program began with an opening prayer by Pastor Edward Olumese of North-Light Ministries, followed by a moving intercession for unity led by Pastor Philip Olubakin of Supernatural Life Church. These opening moments laid a spiritual foundation for a gathering that drew PFN stakeholders, pastors, and youth leaders from across Nigeria.
Speaking during the symposium, Apostle Femi Lazarus of Light Nation Church emphasized the critical need for unity in the Church, noting, “In the Old Testament, every prophecy that spoke about the end-time church made reference to the church as an army. So it is: unite or fade out.” Similarly, Pastor Karis AmehWealth of Gloryzone Church Jos, reinforced the call for unity by highlighting how churches in Northern Nigeria have grown stronger through shared challenges: “No breaking of ranks. No different agenda. One purpose.”
The symposium also reinforced the supernatural roots of Pentecostal identity. Apostle Emmanuel Iren, Apostle Femi Lazarus, and Pastor Karis Ameh Wealth all emphasized the need to remain rounded in spiritual power despite modern pressures. Pastor Karis warned against compromising spiritual distinctiveness under media pressure, stating, “Behind the speed of the spread of the gospel in the early church was this Pentecostal empowerment.” Apostle Femi added, “To do church the Bible way is to do church the supernatural way.”
Demographic realities were also central to the conversation. With over 70% of Nigeria’s population under the age of 35, several speakers stressed the need for intentional youth-focused ministry. Pastor Yemi Davids, Chairman of the PFN Lagos State Chapter and Lead Pastor of Global Impact Church, noted that visibility does not equate to importance within the Body of Christ, using the metaphor of the hands and heart. He called for continued honour toward the previous generation who laid the foundation, and urged the current one to build with excellence and finish strong.
