This outcome led to the formation of a coalition government comprising ten other parties, known as the Government of National Unity (GNU). Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, acknowledged that while the outcome initially brought some uncertainty, establishing the GNU within just 14 days was a significant milestone. She said its formation reflected a “shared commitment to putting the country first through dialogue and compromise.”
