…Says Nigeria was losing 5% GDP to subsidy
Atiku Bagudu, the minister of budget and economic planning, has declared that Nigeria’s economy is witnessing a significant turnaround, driven by bold reforms, improved coordination, and a renewed focus on national priorities.
The Minister stated this in an interview as part of activities marking President Tinubu’s second anniversary, which comes up on May 29.
While appraising the economic benefits of the reforms, Bagudu declared that the government’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” is working and winning over investors at home and abroad.
According to him, “This is two years well spent,” Bagudu stated, reaffirming the government’s commitment to the economic reforms.
He revealed that the country was losing 5% of its GDP to fuel subsidy prior to the reform.
